Hi there! I'm Issy, a graduate in International Relations, an incredibly topical and engaging degree. It is a passion-led discipline with a focus on a greater understanding of the world and ways to help those around us. Having completed half my degree online, like students up and down the country I too understand the struggle of online learning! It is because of this that my tutoring approach is simple: patient yet persistent. Patience is key in tutoring because without it a student will often be left feeling overwhelmed or hopeless, or in most cases, both. Therefore being patient with a student, regardless of whether they are quick to understand a subject or not, is essential. However, persistence is also required to maintain the focus and motivation needed when learning and ensures even the most frustrated of students will carry on with their education. My aim is to help all students with engaging and productive tutoring sessions, by structuring lessons with topics that students generally struggle with, whilst also allowing time for students to let me know particular topics they struggle with in order to improve a student's knowledge as well as confidence. I am tutoring in Maths, English Literature and English Language at GCSE level or below (e.g. Key Stage 2, 11 plus).
