Hi there! I'm Sarah and I'm currently studying Journalism in London. I studied English Literature and Language at A-Level, receiving an A and B grade. With knowledge of prose, poetry, drama and grammar, I can provide comprehensive understanding of how to achieve a high quality English qualification. At GCSE, I received a level 9 for Literature and a level 8 for language. My exam boards were AQA and OCR, so I have direct experience of what they are looking for, but I will scrutinise mark schemes from any relevant curriculums to ensure your success. I'm goal oriented so I'll work to what you want to achieve, using engaging digital study materials and different teaching methods to keep things interesting. I'll also listen to how you learn best and cater my lessons to that. Whilst I have not tutored GCSE or A-Level students before, I have volunteered in a refugee centre where I helped asylum seekers improve their English. From beginners to PHD students, I adapted my teaching methods to ensure each student got what they needed. During my time at school, I was constantly helping friends with homework, assignments and even proof reading essays and coursework. I loved it! So I hope to help my students in the same way, allowing them to excel in and even enjoy English studies.
