I am good at breaking down difficult topics into manageable chunks in a way the student understands. I personally understand the struggle of being completely lost in class and not enjoying the work presented to me. However, somewhere in year 10, I learnt how to see the beauty behind each subject; I learnt how to study more effectively, listen better and work smarter. I really want to pass on my subject knowledge, tips and tricks to the students who were in the same situation as me. I’m a hardworking and resilient student who excels in my academics, evident by achieving 5 9s, 3 8s and a 7 at GCSE as well as A*A*A at A levels. I am going to study at Oxford University this coming academic year after I studied at Durham, a top Russel group university. I am extremely passionate about everything that I do and take great care and pride in my work. I actively participated in school events as a house captain and the president of 2 societies. I really look forward to working with students who want to achieve their full potential!
Understanding literature and the author's intentions behind a text is an incredible skill to have. It provides a student the tools to critically analyse anything that comes their way.
Maths is present in everything we engage with in the real world. It is important to understand the fundamentals of arithmetic and algebra. This requires a strong rationale and imagination.
To understand biology, a student needs to use their memory and imagination in order to picture the myriad of processes and how each step leads to another. I will make sure that the student not only engages with the content but apply it to exams.
