Lorenzo Adamo was born in Milano – Italy, feb. 11th, 2000. He has been studying piano privately since the age of four with Maestro Katya Genghini, until in 2013 he was admitted to the Conservatorio G. Verdi di Milano, where he studied under the guidance of Professor Silvia Rumi. In february 2019 he achieved the bachelor’s degree with honours. In 2021, he obtained the Master of Performance with Distinction at the Royal College of Music of London, where he studied with Norma Fisher and Alexander Romanovsky. Presently, Lorenzo is attending the Artist Diploma course at the Royal College of Music. Lorenzo participated in his first piano competition at nine years old, when he won the Musica in Luce prize organized by Gioventù Musicale Italiana, and played in the award concert at Dal Verme theater, Milano. In the following years Lorenzo won numerous piano competitions; among them American Protégé at Carnegie Hall, NY, three editions of J.S. Bach prize in Sestri Levante, three editions of Italy Sony Classical talent (his performance of English Suite nr. 2 was broadcasted), Bettinelli Prize with special mention, Oleggio contest (overall winner); in the year 2019, Lorenzo won the Rancati Prize at Conservatorio G. Verdi, Milano, and the Riviera della Versilia “Daniele Ridolfi” prize (overall winner). In 2020, he obtained the first prize in the Krainev Online Competition. Lorenzo Adamo has performed in a number of concerts: among them, many times at Piano City Festival in Milano and at Amici del Loggione della Scala Association; at Conservatorio G. Verdi, Milano, with Lonquich as director (a Mozart concerto for piano and orchestra), and the Shostakovich concerto for piano, trumpet and orchestra. Lorenzo attended masterclasses with Alexander Oetiker, Lilya Zilberstein, Leonid Margarius and Alexander Romanovsky, receiving merit certificates. Lorenzo Adamo trio was awarded in 2017 second prize of Chamber Music at Conservatorio G. Verdi, Milano. In 2018 the trio won the Dragoni prize sponsored by Società del Quartetto, Milano, and performed at International Youth Festival, Kyoto, where Lorenzo played also as solo pianist.
