I am currently a Data Science PhD student at Imperial College with my research focussed around climate change and dynamical physical systems, specifically wildfire modelling. I am passionate about Climate science, Computer Programming and Mathematics, and I have career experience as a software developer and a data engineer. I hold an BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. As part of my PhD I have been supervising and tutoring masters students at Imperial College since starting my research there, and have really enjoyed helping people with their problems and projects. I have excellent communication skills and can relate to a wide range of people and learning styles. Drop me a message and let's see if we are a good fit for each other :) Side note: I absolutely HATED maths at school, and was awful at it - my teacher laughed at me when I told her I wanted to take Maths A level. Thankfully, my A level teacher was incredible - patient, communicative, and had a contagious enthusiasm for maths - which I caught. I ended up doing a maths degree and I am now a data scientist using high level maths and computer science on a daily basis. Nobody is bad at maths, they just don't have a good teacher which believes in them. I was lucky enough to find one, and I believe as a tutor it is essential to inspire people the way I was inspired.
